CONCLUSION

​            Despite being one of the most popular cryptids in North America, many conspiracy theories remain surrounding Bigfoot’s origins, however, the two most prevalent ones theorize that Bigfoot either may be a long-lost cousin related to humans, or an alien visitor from the cosmos. Although both conspiracy theories are on equal footing for popularity, a lack of studies and evidence in regards to Bigfoot’s possible alien origins leave it as the weaker option, especially when taken into consideration that Bigfoot’s characteristics and tendencies mirror that of humans, as well as there being many more stories of Bigfoot that lack any mention of UFOs than ones that do. Although evidence for both conspiracy theories remains inconclusive, it seems that Bigfoot’s origins land closer to home and humanity rather than among the stars.
